The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) dealt a significant blow to the Shiromani Akali Dal when, ahead of the by-elections, Akali Dal’s Sarpanch Jagpal Singh Minta Paniar joined AAP along with his supporters. Minta has significant influence among the people of his constituency.
Along with him, former Sarpanch Ranjit Singh Maur, former Sarpanch and Circle Head Balvinder Singh Bakhshiwal, Advocate Jasvinder Singh Dhillon, former Sarpanch Satnam Singh Virk, Ajmer Singh Sarpanch Sukh Raju, Rattan Singh Sarpanch Sukh Raju, Jagdev Singh Sarpanch Sukh Raju, Harpal Singh from Bhanda village, and Jagjeet Singh from Athwal village also joined the Aam Aadmi Party.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s OSD Rajbir Singh Ghumman and Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal welcomed all the leaders to the party. Minister Dhaliwal stated that with the joining of these leaders, AAP will become even stronger in the Dera Baba Nanak constituency.
