46th Professor Mohan Singh Memorial International Punjabi Cultural Fair was organised by the members of Prof. Mohan Singh Memorial Foundation under the patronage of Patron Pragat Singh Grewal, Prithipal Singh SP, Chairman Gurnam Singh Dhaliwal and President Rajiv Kumar Lovely after offering flowers to the statue of Yug Kavi Prof. Mohan Singh. On this occasion, a seminar and Kavi Darbar were held at the seminar hall of Punjabi Bhavan. On October 21, an open arena of Punjabi cultural singing will be held at Dr. AVM Public Senior Secondary School, Isa Nagri Puli, near Civil Hospital, Ludhiana.
Among others, the secretary general of the foundation Dr. Nirmal Jora, Chairman of the Reception Committee Amarinder Singh Jassowal were also present in this occasion.
On this occasion, the Patron of the foundation, Pragat Singh Grewal, Prithipal Singh SP, Chairman Gurnam Singh Dhaliwal and President Rajiv Kumar Lovely said that on October 21, State’s Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian will inaugurate the cultural program and felicitation ceremony at Dr. AVM Public Senior Secondary School. Meanwhile, Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu, Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Dhaliwal, Gurmeet Singh Khudian, MP Amarinder Singh Raja Warring and PAU Vice Chancellor Dr. Satbir Singh Gosal will be the chief guest and they will present the awards to the dignitaries.
They revealed that after the felicitation ceremony, cultural performances will be made by Jyoti Nooran, Deep Dhillon and Jasmine, folk singer Ravinder Grewal, Atma Budhewalia, Jaswant Sandila, Shalini Jamwal, Happy Dehlon and Love Manjot. The program will be moderated by Biba Meena Mehrok and Karamjit Grewal.
Before the honor ceremony, Navjot Singh Jarg and colleagues will perform traditional Punjabi singing and folk dances will be presented by the students of Dr. AVM Public Senior Secondary School.
On Sunday, a seminar was conducted at Punjabi Bhawan by the foundation with the support of Punjabi Sahitya Akademi. Academy President Dr. Sarabjit Singh, Senior Vice President Dr. Pal Kaur and General Secretary Dr. Guljar Singh Pandher said that Dr. Pal Kaur presided over and Amarjit Singh Grewal gave a memorable speech related to Prof. Mohan Singh and Punjabi village. Meanwhile, among the prominent poets, Dr. Jagwinder Jodha, Balwinder Bharti, Buta Singh Chauhan, Jagtar Sekha also presented their views.
