Punjab State Election Commission has announced the cancellation of the election program for two Gram Panchayats on account of irregularities committed at the time of filing nomination papers.
Disclosing this here today, Punjab State Election Commissioner Raj Kamal Chaudhuri said that the election program for Gram Panchayat Chak Haraj, Tehsil Mamdot, District Ferozepur, and Gram Panchayat Thikriwal, Block Dhilwan, District Kapurthala has been cancelled. The Commission will announce the fresh elections to these Gram Panchayats after the conclusion of the current Gram Panchayat elections.
