The Chairman of the Punjab Backward Classes Land Development and Finance Corporation (Backfinco), Sandeep Saini, met with the Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment, and Minorities, Dr. Baljit Kaur, in Chandigarh. The meeting focused on reviewing and advancing the various initiatives undertaken by Backfinco to uplift the backward sections of state.
During the meeting, Chairman Saini briefed the Minister on the effective implementation of several technical and financial schemes aimed at empowering the state’s backward communities. He highlighted that these initiatives are providing crucial economic support to thousands of farmers, women, and youth, enhancing their self-reliance and overall economic well-being. Mr. Saini also shared that new plans to further strengthen these efforts are under consideration.
Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur assured the Backfinco full support from the Punjab government. She reiterated the government’s commitment to collaborating with institutions like Backfinco to ensure the welfare and progress of marginalized communities.
