Chandigarh: Massive fire breaks out in Liquor Factory

Chandigarh, October 27

A massive fire broke out in a liquor factory located in Industrial Area Phase 1 here on Thursday. The fire has engulfed all three floors of the factory at plot no. 90.

As per the information obtained so far, a short circuit is said to be the reason behind this fire incident.

On receiving the information, two vehicles including a fire brigade personnel reached the spot but seeing the situation uncontrollable, two more fire tenders were pressed into service from Ram Darbar. It took a long to control the flames.

As per the firemen, no one is trapped inside the factory that operates under the name of Batra Breweries and Distilleries.
