Voter’s education awareness programme at Adesh University

Voter’s education awareness programme was organised by the department of Students Welfare, Adesh University on 10th of April, 2024 at the Adesh Auditorium from 10:30am onwards.

The primary objective of the voting awareness event was to educate community members about the importance of voting, empower them with knowledge about the electoral process, and encourage voter participation in upcoming elections.

A rally was taken out in the nearby localities to spread the awareness regarding voting by Adesh University on 10th April.

A delegation from district administration educated the students of Adesh University.

Poonam Singh, PCS RTA, Bathinda, highlighted the importance and impact of voting. She also laid emphasis that the choices we make through voting decides the various aspect of life through political establishment we choose .

Suresh Gaur, Asst. Nodal Officer, District team SVEEP, Bathinda, explained that everyone is free to choose but should be ready to face the consequences that come along the choice.

Gurtej Singh, Nodal Officer, 091 Bhucho Mandi reserved constituency, motivated the students to claim their right and cast the votes.

Dr. Prem Singla, Member SVEEP 091 Bhucho Mandi (SC), who informed the students about the process of offline and online voters’ registration.

The Registrar, Dr. R. G. Saini thanked members of the SVEEP for taking out time for making the students aware of the voting process and also thanked the Vice Chancellor and the entire management of Adesh University for executing the event.
