The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) once again lambasted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for their dictatorial attitude. The AAP said that the Lok Sabha elections are just around the corner, the code of conduct has been imposed, but look at the extent of the dictatorship of the Modi government, who is still not giving up their unconstitutional tricks to stop opposition parties.

In a statement released from the Chandigarh party office, AAP Punjab chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang said in Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party, a national party, has its office but the BJP government won’t let any AAP MLA, leader or worker to get in their own party office. For the last two days, AAP people are being stopped outside their pwn office and being harassed.

Kang questioned what kind of democracy is this that the workers of a political party cannot go to their party office? How will we run our campaign for the Lok Sabha election? Kang added, I appeal to the Election Commission, an independent institution, to interfere in this matter and prove their independence to the people before the general election.

Kang further said that Modi is destroying democracy in this country, taking the country towards dictatorship and crushing the opposition parties. The Election Commission should take notice and needed action about this. People from opposition parties are being stopped from going to their political offices and are being harassed.

Kang said that it is beyond limit now. In the biggest democracy of the world, the elections are announced but opposition leaders are being arrested without evidence and parties are being denied access to their own offices. How are opposition parties supposed to campaign for these elections? The Election Commission should intervene immediately and ensure fair elections.
