Bal Mukand Sharma appointed as Chairman, Punjab State Food Commission

An eminent food expert who rendered exceptional contribution in bolstering the food sector in Punjab, Bal Mukand Sharma has been appointed as the Chairman, Punjab State Food Commission.

An official spokesperson said that Bal Mukand Sharma did his BSc in Agriculture from the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Ludhiana and was awarded Gold Medal. Later, he did his Masters Degree in Business Administration from the same institution.

Beginning his career as the District Manager in Markfed, he discharged his duties with distinction throughout his illustrious career and served as DM Markfed in Jalandhar & Ludhiana. He superannuated as AMD Markfed and was instrumental in making Markfed a brand name to reckon with, in the food processing sector all across the globe by the dint of his professional expertise.
