Amit Kumar Panchal today took charge as Deputy Commissioner here at District Administrative Complex. 2016 Batch IAS Amit Kumar listed delivery of administrative services, time-bound completion of ongoing and upcoming projects besides ensuring that the benefit of public welfare schemes to be reached at the grassroots level.
Panchal took charge after taking salute from the Guard of Honour on his arrival at DAC, where senior officers and officials extended a warm welcome. The Deputy Commissioner also interacted with the media and said that he sought fulsome support of district residents and all sections of society to bring further reforms in larger interests of public. He said that the regular review of ongoing and upcoming projects would be held so that these projects could be executed within the given time frame.
Referring to a query, Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Panchal said that education, health, sports and cleanliness sectors would also be focused. He said that directions had also been given to all officers for resolution of public issues and complaints within stipulated time. He pointed out that the pace of ongoing works would also be accelerated.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner also held a meeting with Sub Divisional Magistrate to take stock of ongoing works in the district.
Pertinently, Amit Kumar Panchal has been served in different districts as SDM Nakodar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) and Municipal Commissioner at Hoshiarpur, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Ludhiana, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Fazilka and Additional Deputy Commissioner, Phagwara.
