Haryana Development and Panchayats Minister Devender Singh Babli, emphasized the significant importance of the school’s annual day function in the lives of students.
He stated that education holds an influential place in one’s life, and the school’s annual celebration plays a special role in promoting discipline, supporting school progress, and establishing contact with parents.
Babli participated as the chief guest in the annual day celebration program at Senior Secondary School in Kanheri village, Tohana, and inaugurated the event formally.
Addressing the students, Babli highlighted the vital role of education in overall human development.
He encouraged students to set goals and work hard towards achieving them, emphasising that hard work leads to success. The private sector has provided a good platform for education in rural areas, offering excellent opportunities for rural children.
Annual school celebrations provide students with the opportunity to develop their talents, express themselves, and cultivate a sense of responsibility openly, the development and panchayat minister added.
He mentioned that the state government has made commendable efforts to elevate the level of education and enhance the education sector in the state. In an effort to prepare youth for competitive exams and other assessments, e-libraries are being established in every village.
The Development and Panchayat Department has identified 1200 buildings in the first phase for renovation and beautification to create e-libraries. These e-libraries will facilitate the preparation for competitive exams, eliminating the need for youth to travel far from their villages.
Babli emphasised the importance of children participating in extracurricular activities, including sports and cultural programmes, to gain a holistic education.
He said that the cultural programmes allow children to learn about the culture and history of their country and state. He encouraged children to engage in both studies and other activities for overall development.
