Anil Vij orders transfer of Hisar DSP to another district after sexual harassment allegation

Chandigarh, January 3

Haryana Home and Health Minister Anil Vij took a stringent action on Tuesday after a woman from Hisar accused DSP Hisar of sexual harassment.

Vij directed the immediate transfer of the officer to another district and directed IG, Hisar to form a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the allegations and to submit its report within 10 days.Vij was listening to the public grievances visiting him at his residence in Ambala from various districts today.

The woman from Hisar had alleged that she had filed a complaint of sexual harassment against the DSP, but due to the lax approach of the Hisar Police and not presenting the facts accurately, the accused got bail from the High Court, to which the Home Minister gave directions to transfer the DSP to another district. He further asked to form an SIT in the matter for investigation.

Vij also directed SP Ambala to take stringent action in the case of the murder of a BJP booth president in Ambala Cantonment. The murder took place on Monday night in Boh village after a dispute erupted between the victim and others involved.The Home Minister gave directions to concerned officers to take action on various public grievances.
