National General Secretary of All India Congress Committee , former Union Minister and former State President of Haryana Congress Committee, Kumari Selja said that during the rule of the BJP central government, the people of the country are in distress , the farmers are poor , but the Gujarati friends of the government are rich.

The government stock of wheat in the country has decreased by more than 36 percent compared to last year. Flour , pulses and rice are continuously becoming expensive , but stockists are not being raided. Because , these big stockists are Gujarati friends of the head of the government.

In a statement issued to the media, Kumari Selja said that this is happening for the first time in the history of the country , when the prices of flour , pulses and rice are continuously touching the sky. If this trend continues, bread will disappear from people’s plates. People will face the danger of dying of hunger , while the country’s economy will face a big crisis.

The former Union Minister said that according to the CMIE report, only 2.39 crore tonnes of wheat is left in the reserves of the Central Government , which was 3.77 crore tonnes last year.

That means , wheat in government stock has reduced by 36.60 percent. It is clear from this that the wheat crisis is not natural , it is artificial. made it up. Wheat is needed by everyone , hence big Gujarati businessmen have stocked it to earn profits.

Kumari Selja said that this is a big failure of the Bharatiya Janata Party led central government , that the prices of flour have increased by 16 percent in the wholesale market within 6 months.

Similarly, an increase of 14.8 percent has been recorded in the price of rice , 10.8 percent in sugar and 16.6 percent in tur dal . What is even more worrying is that there is a possibility of further increase in the prices of these food grains in the next three months.

The former Union Minister said that the rising prices of food grains can be controlled only in one way. That method is to raid big profiteers. But , no central government agency has the courage to raid them. Because , most of the people stocking food grains are Gujaratis. It is clear from this that food crisis is being created to benefit Gujarati friends and the Central Government is also an equal partner in this game.
