Two murders in Kapurthala-one person killed in firing while NRI husband thrashed his wife to death

Two murders of a man and a woman have been committed in Kapurthala today according to police.
In the first murder , one person was killed in a firing incident in a clash between two groups at village sidhwan Dona falling in Kapurthala.The deceased has been identified as Vijay kumar resident of Sidhwan Dona near kapurthala according to police .
Senior superintendent of police Vatsala Gupta told factnews that a few days ago a clash between two parties took place over a trifle and both the groups again clashed in the early hours of this morning when one group opened fire and seriously injured Vijay kumar who succumbed to injuries in the hospital.
In another brutal murder, NRI husband killed his wife by repeatedly thrashing her head on the floor of his room and killed her at village sandhu Chatha near kapurthala.
The deceased has been identified as Harpreet Kaur (45) resident of village Sandhu chatha near town .
SSP said culprit Sukhdev Singh returned from Italy yesterday and went to home to meet his wife where verbal dual took place between them .This enraged the husband who dragged deceased to his room and thrashed her head repeatedly on the floor and fled way after killing her .
SSP said police have registered case of murder in both cases and identified culprits .police parties have been despatched to arrest them .
