Aam Aadmi Party vehemently protested against the arrest of Sanjay Singh, burnt effigies of Prime Minister Modi

The AAP leaders of Punjab protested across the state against the Modi government for arresting senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh. Protesting AAP leaders also burned effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Punjab cabinet ministers and MLAs including state and district-level party leaders and officials participated in these protests. All the leaders termed the arrest of Sanjay Singh as a dictatorial step of the Modi government and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has got him arrested because he raised his voice against the government in the Parliament on the Adani case.

In Jalandhar’s Nakodar, MP Shushil Kumar Rinku, Cabinet Minister Balkar Singh, MLA Raman Arora, Sheetal Angural, Inderjit Kaur Mann, AAP State Secretary Rajwinder Kaur Thiara, Lok Sabha Incharge Ashwani Aggarwal, District Urban president Amritpal Singh, Rural President Stephen Kaler, District Secretary Subhash Sharma and Jalandhar Improvement Trust President Jagtar Singh Sanghera protested along with hundreds of AAP workers.

In Pathankot, AAP workers under the leadership of Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak protested on the road and burnt the effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. District incharge Amit Mantu and AAP leader Vibhuti Sharma were also present.

In Amritsar too, AAP workers demonstrated against the arrest of Sanjay Singh. During the demonstration here, Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, former minister and MLA Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar, MLA Jeevan Jyot Kaur and Dr. Ajay Gupta, District Incharge Munish Aggarwal, District Rural Incharge Kuldeep Singh Mathrewal and other leaders were present.

In Barnala, Cabinet Minister Meet Hayer along with AAP district officials and workers protested against the Modi government.

AAP workers protested under the leadership of AAP MLA Jamil ur Rehman in Malerkotla.  Whereas in Hoshiarpur, MLA Jasveer Singh Raja Gill and AAP leader Advocate Karamveer Singh Ghumman led the protesting AAP workers and volunteers. AAP leaders also demonstrated in Sangrur.

In Bathinda, AAP leaders and workers took out a protest march under the leadership of MLA Sukhbir Singh Maisarkhana and Master Jagseer Singh, Lok Sabha incharge Rakesh Puri, women wing chief Baljinder Kaur, AAP leaders Navdeep Singh Jidda and Amrit Aggarwal.

No matter how many raids the Modi government’s ED and CBI do, no matter how many arrests they make, they cannot stop us: Principal Budh Ram

In his statement issued to the media, AAP Punjab Working President Principal Budh Ram said that the ED did not find even a single penny or a single illegal document from Sanjay Singh’s house. All this is being done just to scare and silence us, but no matter what Prime Minister Modi does, he cannot stop us. No matter how many raids ED and CBI do, no matter how many arrests they make, they cannot stop us.
