Sale, use of firecrackers banned in Gurugram

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Haryana’s Gurugram, Nishant Kumar Yadav, issued an order on the ban of manufacture, sale, and use of all types of firecrackers except green firecrackers from November 1, 2023, to January 31, 2024.

Instructions in the order regarding the use of green crackers on special occasions mentioned that such fireworks will only be allowed on the day of Diwali or any other festival like Gurupurva and the timing will be between 8 pm to 10 pm.

Whereas, on Christmas and New Year’s Eve, the green firecrackers can start around midnight from 11:55 pm to 12:30 am. Additionally, e-commerce companies like Flipkart, Amazon etc. have also been ordered not to accept any online orders for firecrackers.
