Swachhta Fortnight was celebrated in Ferozepur Rail Division from 16 September to 2 October, 2023 with different activities every day and Clean Train Day was celebrated on 20th and 21st September during this fortnight.
As part of this cleaning campaign, special attention was paid to the cleanliness of all passenger trains starting from Ferozepur Division. Along with the trains and the toilets inside it, the pantry car was also thoroughly cleaned. The toilets of the trains were mechanized and their external surfaces were also cleaned. Garbage and plastic collected from trains were disposed of properly. Leakage of water taps in the coaches of the train was checked and those that were faulty were repaired promptly. Fitting of electric devices in trains and their thorough cleaning was ensured. The mechanical department carries out the washing and repairing of train coaches in the washing pit lines.
