Woman dies due to drug overdose in front of OPD of Govt hospital

Gurdaspur, September 8

A dead body of a woman was found in the government hospital of Batala. Reportedly, this woman was addicted to drugs and an injection syringe was also lying near her body.

Her body remained lying in front of the OPD of the hospital for a long time, but the hospital administration did not even try to pick up the body. The body of the deceased was picked up and kept in the dead house when the media reached the hospital.

The nurse working at the spot said that before her duty started at 8 o’clock, a dead body was lying there and she got it cleaned.

It seems that she was a drug addict and a syringe was also found in her body. The doctor doing emergency duty said that when I came to know that someone had died, I got the body repaired while doing my duty.

A doctor said that also the woman used to come to the hospital for treatment at Batala Civil Hospital also.

SMO said that this woman has been seen taking drugs near the hospital before, she also used to come to our hospital for treatment and today we got information that she has died.
