Haryana: Four-member CPI delegation to visit violence-affected areas in Gurugram, Nuh

Chandigarh (Haryana) August 6

A four-member delegation of the Communist Party (CPI) will visit the violence-affected areas in Gurugram and Nuh in Haryana on Sunday.

The four-member delegation including CPI Rajya Sabha MP, Binoy Viswam, CPI general secretary Amarjeet Kaur, party MP Sandosh Kumar P, party leader Dariyav Singh Kashyap will visit violence-affected areas in Gurugram and Nuh districts.

While speaking to ANI, Sandosh Kumar said, “A four-member delegation of CPI will be visiting the violence-hit areas of Haryana. We have already informed the authorities and we will try to meet all sections. It is a one-day visit. We are with the people. Communalism is no solution to any issue. There are divisive forces on either side to divide people. So, we are there to understand the situation.”

Violence had broken out between two groups on July 31 in Haryana’s Nuh district, on Monday in Nuh that claimed the lives of six people including two Home Guards.

Meanwhile, the Haryana government announced on Sunday that mobile internet services will remain suspended in the Nuh district till August 8. The order passed by the Haryana Home Secretary stated that the conditions in the district remain critical and tense.

“Whereas, it has been brought to my notice by Deputy Commissioner Nub that the law and order situation has been reviewed and the conditions are still critical and tense in the district,” the statement said.

Earlier on Friday, Haryana police said that as many as 141 people have been arrested and 55 FIRs registered in connection with the violence and rioting at Haryana’s Nuh district on Monday.
