Mohali DC visits Aam Aadmi Clinic Santemajra

Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain said, here, today, that the Aam Aadmi Clinics set up by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led Government to provide healthcare services to common people have added a new chapter in the delivery of healthcare facilities at the ground zero level.

The Deputy Commissioner, who visited Aam Aadmi Clinic Santemajra along with SDM Kharar Ravinder Singh to review the health services being provided to the people, said that the Aam Aadmi Clinics were started to provide health facilities to the common people at their doorsteps and diagnose diseases at an early stage with the aim of treating it, which has reduced the workload even on the big hospitals.

She said that a staff of four personnel including a medical officer and pharmacy officer have been posted at these clinics, who provide 104 types of medicines and 41 types of lab tests to the people free of cost.

She said that the data of the patients coming to the Aam Aadmi Clinic is recorded online, in case, the patient is further referred to a secondary health institution, then the history of the patient can be got online.

The Deputy Commissioner further said, a total of 34 Aam Aadmi Clinics are currently functioning in the district, in which 4,34,699 patients have been examined so far and 51,451 patients have been provided free lab test facility.

She appealed to the people to take maximum advantage of the Aam Aadmi Clinics for their healthcare and regular check up.

She said that all the administrative officials and health officials of the district, including her, inspect these clinics from time to time, to know the problems, if any and get feedback from the staff present here and the patients who come to take medicine, for further improvement.
