Aadhaar reunites missing specially-abled woman with family

Once again, Aadhaar has become a medium to reunite a divyang (specially abled) woman from Assam with her family after she remained missing from her home for several weeks, said an official statement, from Ministry of Electronics and IT on Saturday.

The woman, who has speech and hearing impairments, and is unable to communicate, was found wandering homeless in Sonapur New Market, Kamrup district by Assam Police, nearly 165 kilometers from her home in Khanamukh village, Sonitpur district and was traced using Aadhaar added the statement from the ministry.
