PVS Sandhwa distributes relief material to flood victims in border villages Ferozepur with support NGOs

Service to humanity is the greatest religion and all the organizations involved in helping the flood victims of Punjab, in this time of trouble deserve to be appreciated, who are doing everything possible to help them to bring their back on track.This was expressed by the Speaker of the Punjab Vidhan Sabah, Kultar Singh Sandhawan while distributing the relief material such as feed for animals and other essential goods for people, with the support of Nishkam Sikh Welfare Council New Delhi, Bhai Kanhaiya Cancer Roko Sewa Society Faridkot and Misal Sutlej at the border village Tendiwala of the district.

On this occasion MLA Ferozepur Urban Ranbir Singh Bhullar, MLA Ferozepur Rural Rajnish Dahiya, Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman, Chairman Planning Board, Chand Singh Gill and Nishkam Sikh Seva Society from Delhi, Narendra Singh was also present.

Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan said that the Nishkam Sikh Welfare Council will provide services ranging from Rs.20 to 25 lakh to the people of the flood-affected areas, under which medicines, tarpaulins, fodder, rations or other necessary items will be given to the flood-affected people and first phase of which was started today from village Tendiwala of Ferozepur.

He said that the Punjab government has given instructions to the concerned officials to pay compensation for the loss immediately. He said that there is a fear of some diseases arising after the flood water, for which the government and the health department are fully prepared. Apart from this, the embankments which are broken or undamaged will be prepared so that in the future if there is a flood situation in the area again, the damage caused due to it can be avoided. He said that the previous governments did not pay any attention to these works, but nothing like this will happen now.

Meanwhile, he strongly condemned the incident at Manipur and said that it is a very painful and horrific accident which is against humanity. He said that this is a monstrous act and this is a big disgrace for the country. Those culprits should be given strict and exemplary punishment so that no one can even think of doing such a thing and the Chief Minister of Manipur should resign immediately for such anarchy.

On this occasion MLA Ferozepur Urban Ranbir Singh Bhullar said, the PGI project in Ferozepur is being suspended again and again with one or the other reasons under its political strategies depriving the people of the area with quality health services.
