District and Session Judge Tarn Taran Priya Sood makes surprise visit to Sub Jail Patti

Priya Sood, District, and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairperson, District Legal Services Authority, Taran Taran on Monday made a surprise visit to Sub Jail Patti.

She was accompanied by Pratima Arora, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority and Shilpa, Chief Judicial Magistrate. Jatinder Pal Singh, Superintendent, Sub Jail Patti, and the staff were present on this occasion

During her visit, Priya Sood listened to the problems of the convicts and prisoners and gave directions to the Superintendent of the Jail to solve their problems.

Judge Priya Sood also visited the barracks of convicts and prisoners in the jail, checked the mess (kitchen) of the jail and also inspected the cleanliness there.

She further directed the Jail Superintendent that the Jail should be sanitized from time to time and regular medical check-ups should be conducted for the convicts and prisoners.

She also informed the convicts and prisoners present about their legal rights and also told them when and during which period they can file their appeal.
