Haryana Government declares data centre employment as essential services for public safety and order

Chandigarh, July 14

The Haryana Government has declared employment under the Data Centres as establied and covered under the Haryana State Data Centre Policy, 2022 as essential services to ensure public safety, maintain public order and supplies or services to the community.

A notification to this effect was issued the Chief Secretary, Sanjeev Kaushal.

In accordance with the provisions stated under section 3 (ii) of the Haryana Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1974 (40 of 1974), the State Government has declared that the Haryana Essential Services Maintenance Act all apply to the employment within the Data Centres establied and covered under the Haryana State Data Centre Policy, 2022, as mentioned in the notification.
