Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today condemned the Chandigarh Administration for allotting a piece of land to Haryana at the behest of the central government to dilute Punjab’s claim over the capital. Saying that the BJP-led central government has been attempting to undermine Punjab’s claim over Chandigarh, Warring added that the Congress party has always fought to safeguard the rights of the state and it will continue to do so what come may.

Lambasting the central government for its vicious tactics and repeated attempts to weaken Punjab’s claim over Chandigarh, the PPCC chief said that earlier the Centre scrapped the Punjab service rules in the UT and implemented the central service rule and now it influenced the allotment of land for a separate Vidhan Sabha for Haryana. It’s the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) incompetence and ignorant attitude towards Punjab that is costing the state dearly, he said.

The State chief while coming down heavily on the BJP-led central government said that it is hell-bent on disrupting the peace and harmony in the state by snatching away the rights of Punjab. Punjabis never cowed down before atrocities and we will never allow the dictators in Delhi to implement the tyrannical and illegitimate decisions to undermine Punjab’s claim over Chandigarh, said Warring.
