The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), launching a scathing attack on Congress leaders and Captain Amarinder Singh, said that they patronized criminals and gangsters and now when Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is questioning their loot of Punjab’s money they are unnerved.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, AAP Punjab chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang said that when Captain Amarinder Singh was CM and home minister and Congress leader Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa was Jails minister, they brought most wanted gangster and gruesome criminal, who is now serving lifetime imprisonment, Mukhtar Ansari to Punjab in a case and kept him here for almost 2 years with five-star facilities costing Punjab for about 55 lacs. Ansari had many cases registered against him in UP and UP Police gave the Punjab government more than 25 reminders of the same.

But then Congress government went out of the way to facilitate Mukhtar Ansari and they even defended his remand in Punjab in the Supreme court. Now CM Mann is holding them accountable for the money they looted from Punjab’s exchequer and spent on criminals. Money will be recovered from Captain Amarinder Singh and Sukhjinder Randhawa.

Kang said that Mukhtar Ansari was kept in Ropar jail with five-star facilities, produced in Mohali court on a wheelchair and his family was provided a house near jail with all the facilities but today Sukhjinder Randhawa, then jail minister, is saying that he has nothing to do with it all. Randhawa and Captain Amarinder should pay 27.5 lac each and end this matter. Randhawa’s wish of official notice will be granted too and he’ll be served a notice soon.

Kang added that CM Bhagwant Mann is ‘Pehredar’ of Punjab and its exchequer, so anyone who had wronged Punjab and looted its capital will be held accountable. He said that Captain Amarinder Singh is claiming that he doesn’t know Ansari, maybe he should first ask his son Raninder Singh about this.

Giving a sharp response to Captain Amarinder Singh about his comments on CM Mann being less experienced, Kang said that Captain was expelled from Congress while being CM and had just 6% attendance as deputy leader in parliament which is the lowest, and that is Captain Amarinder Singh’s experience. CM Mann had 90% of attendance as an MP in Lok sabha.

He further said that Captain and his family has always been anti-Punjab. When Abdali was attacking Punjab his family sided with him, when the whole country was fighting for freedom Captain’s family was with Britishers, they even sided against Maharaja Ranjit Singh, in Congress’s rule he was with Congress, during Akali government, he was with Akalis and now when BJP is taking country towards dictatorship he is with the BJP. So everyone is aware of Captain’s so-called ‘experience’. What Captain should tell the people what he has done for Punjab in his 9 years as CM. How many times he went to the secretariat or met the Public to solve their problems, asks Kang.

Taking a dig at PPCC president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, Kang said that this ‘minister of buses bodies’ is saying that Congress gave jobs when we all know they gave jobs only to the families of Bajwa, Rakesh Pandey and Beant Singh.

He concluded that Punjab finally has gotten an honest and pro-development chief minister who will protect the interest of state and capital of our state. No one who has looted Punjab can get away with it.
