VC SBS State University releases Brochure for 2023-24

The only university in India named after Shaheed Bhagat Singh established by the Government of Punjab in the border district of Ferozepur (earlier named Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus) is a reputed institution for various engineering courses. Apart from this, they are serving the country in official positions like PCS, IAS, PPS.

Dr. Buta Singh Sidhu, Vice Chancellor of the University released the Information Brochure for 2023-24 along with starting new courses here today. Talking about the new courses, VC informed that there was a lot of response when the courses were started during last year and this year some more new courses are being started, like BSc Computer Science (Specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) , B.Sc Computer Application Electronics ,Bachelor of Business Administration, Master of Business Administration, Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management, B.Sc Hotel Management and Catering Technology, M.Tech Transportation Eng (Part Time), Certificate Course in Testing of Building Materials , Certificate courses in welding, etc. are also being started.

He further said that in the last session many students in the university have also secured jobs in multinational companies. Apart from this, many other top companies are being invited for the placement. He said that the placemat package for students has increased by almost 25% compared to last year. Smart hackathon programs are being conducted for students to think and implement new ideas. By participating in the G 20, the university presented two research projects which were selected in the G 20 Summit. Along with this, the students of the university have won a cash prize of Rs.50,000 by participating in the initiative event of the Punjab government.
