Amendment to Sikh Gurdwaras Act in Punjab is not acceptable to anyone: Delhi Gurudwara Committee President

Commenting on the amendment to Sikh Gurudwara Act in Punjab which was cleared by Punjab Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday, Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) President Harmeet Singh Kalka said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has taken the decision on his own which is not acceptable to anyone.

“The interference of governments in the functioning of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee will not be tolerated but it is a matter of regret why such a situation has arisen The possession of only one channel is a question mark on Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Darbar Sahib,” told Harmeet Singh Kalka.

“It is the responsibility of the managing head to open all avenues of Gurbani telecast. Since the managing committee could not do it, the government had to intervene. We should definitely think about why such a situation has risen,” he said.
