Secretary Regional Transport Authority Baljinder Singh Dhillon today said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann-led state government has provided major relief to farmers by allowing the registration of TREM-III standard tractors till June 30, 2023.
Giving more information, the Secretary RTA further mentioned that the registration of these tractors can be done by June 30 as the state government has increased the timeline for registration.
He stated that the Punjab Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar had made this announcement emphasizing that the state government is committed to improving the economic condition of the farmers besides ensuring their well-being and addressing their concerns.
Dhillon further informed that the registration of TREM-III standard tractors was suspended in the state due to the conditions imposed by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, which were causing losses to farmers and dealers.
He said that as per the decision taken by the state government now farmers and dealers can register TREM-III standard tractors till 30th June. He added that dealers can apply for registration through their IDs and in cases where the dealer’s ID is not available, registration can be done through the IDs of RTO/SDM.
