No Need to Get Panic, Diarrhea under Control in Dheeremajra, says ADC Paramdeep Singh

Reviewing the preventive measures being taken in Diarrhea affected Dheeremajra village of the district, the Additional deputy commissioner (G) Paramdeep Singh said that there is no need to get panic, the Diarrhea is under control in the village.

Advising residents to beware of the rumours , he said that the District Administration, SAS Nagar led by the DC, Ashika Jain is fully committed to take care of the residents. To ensure the bacterial free drinking water, the supply through the pipeline has been discontinued for the time being and tankers with chlorinated water have been pushed into the service to further contain the disease. He said that till the cleanchit from the Public Health department and the clearance of water samples taken from the village, the supply through tankers would continue.

He further added that the villagers have been provided proper health check up by organising medical camp. Besides,the reports of death of two infants are under investigation. He cautioned the villagers of the misleading information regarding the disease.

Instructing the Health officials, he said that there should be no shortage of health facilities in the village and that any person falling ill even briefly, should be treated immediately with utmost seriousness . He instructed the officials of the water supply and sanitation department to restore the water supply only after getting the water samples clear and after checking all the water supply pipes and connections.

In the meeting, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Amit Bamby, Civil Surgeon Dr Mahesh Kumar Ahuja along with officials from various departments were present.
