12 students of Nangal school hospitalised after they complain of difficulty in breathing following ‘gas leakage’

Twelve students of a school in Nangal were hospitalised after they complained of difficulty in breathing following a gas leak in the vicinity.

Deputy Commissioner Preeti Yadav said the source of the gas leakage is being traced. She said 30 students were taken to hospital and 12 of them were admitted while the remaining were discharged after administering them first-aid.

According to school principal, it was around 7.45 am when the students were still arriving that many of them started complaining of trouble in breathing. The school was immediately closed and all such students were taken to hospital, he said.

Local MLA Harjot Singh Bains who reached the hospital said the condition of all the hospitalised students was improving.
