A one-day training course was organized by the Department of Family Resource Management (FRM), College of Community Science, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) to impart knowledge regarding office etiquette and management skills, food service, table setting etiquettes as well as cleaning, care, and maintenance of laboratories and offices.
The programme was designed for rural people.
Dr. Kiran Sidhu, Dean, the College of Community Science and Dr. Deepika Vig, Head of Department of Human Development and Family Studies, appreciated the department for taking an initiative in conducting this training and expected similar training programmes must be conducted in future as well.
Dr. Harpinder Kaur, Professor of FRM, apprised the participants of various table and office manners which should be followed while entertaining guests in formal and informal office settings.
Experts Dr. Sharanbir Kaur Bal and Dr Shivani Rana elaborated various ways of table setting and tray service, napkin foldings and basic serving etiquettes.
Dr. Ritu Gupta and Dr. Deepika Bisht, PAU experts, stressed upon maintaining cleanliness in laboratories/offices and gave demonstrations on laboratory/office furniture and equipment cleaning.
