Dubai: 16 killed in apartment block fire

Dubai, UAE, April 16

A fire in a residential building in Dubai reportedly 16 people and injured 9, as per the local media report.

As per the media reports, the fire broke out at midday on Saturday on the fourth floor of the building. The residential building is situated in the old part of the city.

The civil defense said that the tragedy was caused by a lack of compliance with safety regulations.

Authorities have sealed the building for safety reasons. The nationality of the victims has not been revealed yet.
