The 46th Professor Mohan Singh Memorial International Punjabi Cultural Fair will be organised in Ludhiana on 20th and 21st October by the Professor Mohan Singh Memorial Foundation. For this occasion the preparations have been started by the Managing Committee.
Foundation’s patrons Pargat Singh Grewal, Prithipal Singh SP, Chairman Gurnam Singh Dhaliwal and President Rajiv Kumar Lovely and Jagjinder Singh Grewal today reviewed the arrangements during a meeting at Dr. AVM Public School, Isa Nagari Puli near Civil Hospital. They said that on October 20, a literary seminar and Kavi Darbar will be held at Punjabi Bhawan, which will be organized by the Punjabi Sahitya Academy. Dhaliwal and Lovely said that on October 21, cultural programs and felicitation ceremony will be held at Dr AVM Public School, Isa Nagari Puli near Civil Hospital, Ludhiana, which will be inaugurated by Punjab’s Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian in the morning.
On this day, Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu, Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Dhaliwal, Gurmeet Singh Khuddian, MP Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, Vice Chancellor Dr. Satbir Singh Gosal, Deputy Commissioner Jatinder Jorwal and Police Commissioner Kuldeep Singh Chahal will be the chief guests and will give awards to the honored personalities. They said that during this fair, Jyoti Nooran sisters, who have a special place in Punjabi Sufi singing, famous duo singer Deep Dhillon and Jasmine, Olympian Harwant Kaur from the field of sports, singer and poet Harjinder Kang, NRI Punjabi Nirmal Singh from America, Raj Jhaj from Canada and music director Tejwant Kittu will be honored with different awards.
Before the felicitation ceremony, traditional Punjabi songs will be presented by Navjot Singh Jarag and his team and folk dance will be presented by the students of AVM School. He informed that after the felicitation ceremony, cultural performances will be given by Jyoti Noora sisters, Deep Dhillon and Jasmine, folk singer Ravinder Grewal, Atma Budhewalia, Jaswant Sandila, Shalini Jamwal, Happy Dehlon and Love Manjot. The program will be conducted by Biba Meena Mahrok and Karamjit Grewal.
Gurnam Singh Grewal and Rajiv Kumar Lovely informed that MLAs Ashok Parashar Pappi, Madan Lal Bagga, Gurpreet Gogi, Daljit Singh Bhola Grewal, Kulwant Singh Sidhu, Surinder Dawar, Sanjay Talwar, Simarjit Singh Bains, District Planning Board Chairman Sharanjit Singh Makkar were present in the Fair. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Aditya Dechalwal, Krishan Kumar Bawa, Malkit Singh Dakha, Assistant Commissioner Jasdev Singh Sekhon, Puneet Pal Singh, Prabhdeep Singh Nathowal and art lovers will be the special guests at the fair.
