157 Indians who are deported from the United States will land in Amritsar on February 16, as per sources.
Among 157, 54 people are from Punjab, 60 are from Haryana, 34 are from Gujarat, 3 are from Uttar Pradesh, 1 is from Maharashtra, 1 is from Rajasthan, 1 is from Uttarakhand, 1 is from Madhya Pradesh, from Jammu and Kashmir, and 1 from Himachal Pradesh.
Today, 199 Indians 119 were deported from America to reach Amritsar. Among 119,
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said, “I have arrived here today so that I can welcome the Indian nationals arriving from America tomorrow and receive them with dignity and respect.”
He said that although people who have gone to America through illegal means are wrong, they are still Indians.
