Arshdeep Kaur, a 20-year-old girl caught in the NDPS case three years ago, has been sentenced by the district court to 12 years. The court of Special Court Judge Rajiv K. Beri has also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand on the accused.
According to the case registered with the police, a team of Sector-39 police station was patrolling in the area on July 10, 2019 at 2 pm. Meanwhile, a girl was seen coming on the divided road of Sector-39A and B with a green bag in her hands. As soon as he saw the police he put the carry bag aside.
When the police team moved forward, he immediately picked up the carry bag again with his right hand and started moving fast. Police suspected that the girl may have some stolen goods. So the police team caught the girl with the help of Lady Constable.
During this, the girl tried to throw the luggage, but the carry bag found from the young woman was searched and 50 banned drug injections were found from her. He was arrested after registering a case against him under the NDPS Act. The young woman appealed for mercy in her sentence
