Yellow card holders and accredited journalists will be able to get free vaccinations

Deputy Commissioner Mohinder Pal today reviewed the immunization of government officials and employees by the team of Health Department under Mission Fateh at Bachat Bhawan. He said that it was important to follow all the health advice to prevent corona virus and the process of vaccination of all citizens above the age of 45 was going to start from April 1 for which it was the moral duty of every citizen to encourage people of this age group to get vaccinated in their families, neighbourhoods etc. so that no eligible citizen is deprived of this important procedure. The Deputy Commissioner also held a review meeting with the Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) and Heads of other departments including the Civil Surgeon on the latest status of Covid and informed that based on the guidelines given by the Punjab Government, separate measures have been taken to check the spread of Covid-19. Officers and employees of various departments have also been included in the list of front line workers. He said that Judges of the district and all the staff posted in their courts, staff and officers of DFSC office, Department of Agriculture, Department of Animal Husbandry, District Marketing Officer, PUNSUP, Markfed, Warehouse, F.C. Officers and employees of CI Bathinda, Punjab Agro, all the banks operating in the district as well as all the yellow card holders and accredited journalists of DPRO office and district can get free Covid vaccination at government hospitals. The Deputy Commissioner also directed to expedite the process of taking corona samples in the district.
