Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that the Shri Kapalmochan-Shri Adabbri mela at Bilaspur (Yamunanagar) will not take place this year. Referring to a written communique from the Yamunanagar administration, the Deputy Commissioner said that the decision was taken keeping in view the Covid-19 pandemic so that the virus spread could be kept under check.
The Deputy Commissioner said that every year on Amavasya of Katak month this mela was organized, in which influx of devotees across the globe participate. He further mentioned that as the mela this year was not taking place, people from Jalandhar district should keep themselves from visiting the place so that they don’t face any inconvenience.
