Wrestler Murder Case: Delhi Police proclaims Rs 1 lakh reward for info on Sushil Kumar

Olympic medalist Wrestler Sushil Kumar has filed a petition for anticipatory bail to avoid arrest in the case of killing a wrestler. He filed his petition in Rohini court on Monday. The Rohini court will hear his plea at 10.30 am today. As on Monday, Delhi Police had announced a reward of 1 lakh on wrestler Sushil Kumar, after which he has filed a petition for anticipatory bail. Actually, the case is about the murder of  Wrestler Sagar Rana, who was killed in a dispute at Delhi’s Chhatrasal Stadium. On May 11, 23-year-old Sagar Rana and two of his friends were allegedly beaten up badly by some other wrestlers in a dispute at Chhatrasal Stadium in North Delhi, in which Sagar Rana was killed. The quarrel was over the eviction of a flat in the Model Town area of Delhi. Sushil Kumar’s name is there in the FIR. Police said that he was present there during the quarrel and is absconding at the moment and is being searched. Also, a non-bailable warrant has also been issued against wrestler Sushil Kumar and six others in this case. At the same time, the police had issued a lookout notice against Sushil Kumar a few days ago, so that he do not try to flee out of the country. After this, on Monday, Delhi Police has announced a reward on Sushil Kumar. Police said that the wrestler is absconding and a reward of 1 lakh rupees has been kept for giving his information. A reward of 50 thousand rupees has also been placed on Ajay with him.
