Will make Punjab ‘Hub of Investment’: Gurkirat Kotli

Chandigarh, January 13

Gurkirat Singh Kotli, Minister of industry, held an online press conference on Thursday from the Punjab Pradesh congress committee official media channel as per the new corona guidelines under the model code of conduct. The press conference was moderated online by Miss Alka Lamba, media incharge Punjab PCC.

Kotli presented the factual achievement of the last 4.5 years of the Punjab government in the industrial sector.

Kotli claimed that the state has been the best state in agriculture, business and cleanliness in the latest state of the states survey by India Today. Also it has seen an investment of one lakh crore rupees. The minister also informed that Punjab bureau of investment promotion has been adjudged top performer in the rankings announced by DPIIT of Govt of India. The invest Punjab has scored 100 % result in mandate, targeting investor, winning projects and aftercare. Kotli attributed this success to the winning spirit of the people of Punjab and the right policy of the government. He said that Punjab right to business Act, Punjab anti red tape Act, abolishment of institutional tax, reduction in fix charges on electricity for small industry, simplification of procedure for change of land use and relaxation in rules for making approach road for industry, have all resulted in a state where the govt policy has enabled, empowered and encouraged industry to flourish.
