Voting in Punjab will take place on February 14, guidelines issued

The Election Commission is announcing the dates of Assembly elections to be held in five states of the country this year. Voting in Punjab will take place on February 14. Election dates have been announced in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur.

In Uttar Pradesh, voting will be held in seven phases from February 10 to March 7. Voting will take place on February 14 in Punjab, Uttarakhand and Goa and on February 27 and March 3 in Manipur. Counting will take place in all the states on March 10. Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra said that elections would be held in 690 Assembly constituencies of 5 states of the country. 18.34 crore voters will participate in the elections. New protocols will be implemented to conduct elections between Corona. All polling staff must have received both doses of the corona vaccine. Precautionary doses (booster) will also be applied to those who need it.

1. All programs will be videographed. 2. The parties have to declare the criminal record of their candidates. 3. Candidate must also state criminal history. 4. Each candidate in UP, Punjab and Uttarakhand will be able to spend Rs. 40 lakhs. 5. In Manipur and Goa, the expenditure limit will be Rs. 28 lakhs.
