Virtual launch of 7th Mega Employment Fair by Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh inaugurated

Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh today inaugurated the 7th Mega Employment Fair in a virtual manner.

Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister while referring to the work being done by the Punjab government to link the youth with employment said that the state government had given priority to skill development of the youth so that our youth could get employment in various sectors. He said that with the efforts of the state government an investment of Rs. 91000 crore has been made in the state which would provide more employment opportunities to the youth.

The Chief Minister said that now free online coaching to the youth for government and private jobs has also been started from today. Under which this free online coaching would be given to one lakh youth in the first batch of which 11000 youth would start training. Similarly today my work my honor scheme has been launched. During this period they would also get an allowance of Rs. 2500 per month for one year. Under this scheme 30,000 beneficiaries would benefit.

Earlier speaking, the Cabinet Minister for Technical Education and Employment Charanjit Singh Channi shared the details of the efforts being made by the department to impart skills training and employment to the youth.

On the other hand Deputy Commissioner from district headquarters Arvind Pal Singh Sandhu said that during last year 9706 youths have been provided employment in Fazilka district whereas now mega employment fairs are being organized again. He also distributed appointment letters to the youth who got employment in the job fair organized at Fazilka today.
