Violation of any government directive regarding coronavirus will not be tolerated: SDM Batala

SDM Batala Balwinder Singh appealed to the people returning to Batala Tehsil from different states of the country and abroad to follow the rules of seclusion. He said that as per the guidelines issued by the health department, the rules of seclusion have been implemented in homes, government seclusion centers and private hotels.

SDM Batala said that in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19, it was important for everyone to wear a mask when going to public places and follow the rules of proper social distance. He said that challan copies have been issued to the authorities and violation of any government directive regarding coronavirus would not be tolerated.

Singh said that if a person does not wear a mask in a public place, he will be fined Rs.500 and anyone who spits in a public place will be fined Rs.500. He said that any person violating the privacy of home would be fined Rs.2000. He said that in case of violation of social distance in the shop or any commercial place, a fine of Rs.2000 would be levied from the owner. In addition, bus owners will be fined Rs 3,000, car owners Rs 2,000 and auto-rickshaws, and two-wheelers Rs 500 for violating social distance.
