Vijay Mashal reaches Fazilka on 50th anniversary of victory in Indo-Pak war

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the country’s victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. This year is being celebrated by the glorious army of India and the people of the country as a golden victory year. Vijay Mashal, who arrived in Fazilka, was welcomed by the station commander of Fazilka Military Station and paid homage to the martyrs of the 1971 war. Apart from local army officers, ex-servicemen who had served the country in the 1971 war were also present on the occasion. The Vijay Mashal, which arrived in Fazilka today, will stay here till March 3 and from here it will leave for Abohar Military Station. There will be various functions at various places including Fazilka Military Station, Asafwala War Memorial, and during this time martyrs will be paid homage and heroic women will also be honored. Apart from offering flowers at the Martyrs’ Mausoleum at Asafwala, the Army would also organize an arms display, band performance, Vijay March and the Vijay Mashal would go to various schools to acquaint the students with the Army’s Gaurav Gatha. It may be mentioned here that the victory of the country in the 1971 war is not only a matter of pride for every Indian but also a matter of pride for the 67th Infantry Brigade which defeated the enemy and defended the borders of the country and saved Fazilka in the 1971 war.
