Teams of the health department are working very diligently to prevent the spread of corona in the district. Disclosing this, Civil Surgeon Dr. Jasmeet Bawa said that awareness and safety precautions are taking place all over. He said that the health department is doing its work, but also need the support of the people.
Other than this, vegetable samples have been taken from the vegetable markets to ensure its safety.
He said that despite having no symptoms among the taken samples, the officials have been receiving positive reports of several patients which are the most feared thing currently. He also said that in order to stop more cases of corona and community transmission, the local government is performing random sampling of people as per government guidelines.
District Apidimologist Dr. Rajiv Bhagat and Dr. Navpreet Kaur said that being sanitary inspectors and multipurpose health workers have been going to the places where the suspected patients were found. They have gone there to aware people of the virus and safety measures.
