Vajra Corps celebrates 57th anniversary of Barki Day at Ferozepur

Golden Arrow Division of Vajra Corps celebrated the 57th anniversary of the ‘Barki Day’ on 10 Sep 2021. The event marks the victory of Indian Army during the Indo-Pak war of 1965, which led to capture of Barki town which is the Gateway to Lahore. The Brigade which achieved this stupendous victory, till today takes pride in calling itself ‘THE BARKI BRIGADE’.

­­­­­­­­­­­­ Brigadier CK Rajesh, Barki Brigade Commander laid a wreath at the ‘Barki War Memorial’ on this sombre occasion and highlighted the role of the gallant soldiers in achieving this major military victory. He exhorted all ranks to re-dedicate themselves in the service of the Nation & emulate our War Veterans & Martyrs who brought glory by making sacrifices beyond the call of duty.

All ranks of Barki Brigade participated in the event with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols and paid homage to the martyrs of the Battle of Barki.
