US provided over $500 million in Covid-19 assistance to India- White House

The Fact News Service Washington DC, May 21 The United States has so far provided more than 500 million dollars in Covid-19 assistance to India. The White House said it would soon make a decision on distribution of 80 million vaccines to other countries. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki told members of the White House Foreign Press Group at a virtual press conference that, ‘To date,  United States has provided more than $500 million in Covid-19 relief  to India, including contributions from the US federal and state governments, US companies and institutions, and the general public. She said, Biden administration is now working to give assistance to other South Asian countries affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. “We have sent seven consignments by air, including health supplies, oxygen supplies, 95 masks, and other medical relief supplies” she said.
