Union state minister for commerce and industry Som Parkash today asked the officials from district Kapurthala to ensure the benefit of union government sponsored welfare schemes must reach to the weaker section of society to uplift their standard of living .
Today in a review meeting of centre sponsored schemes here at MC Phagwara office , the minister along with Deputy commissioner Vishesh sarangal, SSP Rajbachan Singh Sandhu and many other higher officials , said that the union government has launched many schemes like Amrit Sarovar , PM svanidhi scheme and MPLAD scheme etc to provide the suitable atmosphere for overall growth of the state . In Amrit Sarovar scheme, 75 ponds to be developed across the district to mark the 75th anniversary of Independence Day.
Taking a review of the MPLAD funds issued, Union minister of state said that the estimate for development works should be submitted in a speedy manner . He also said that the amount Rs 2.24 crore has been issued from MPLAD and the work related to these amounts must be completed and submission of utilisation certificates to be given top priority.
He asked the officials that they must use the funds given by union government in a transparent manner so that the new instalments could be released by the union government to further boost the welfare schemes and development works.
Deputy commissioner assured the union minister for state that the district administration would leave no stone unturned in the proper implementation of welfare as well as development oriented schemes in the district. He asked the officials to personally monitor the flagship programs so that the people could get maximum benefit from that .
Prominent amongst present included ADC development S P Angra , SDM Kulpreet Singh , SP HPS Parmar , Sandeep Tiwari assistant commissioner MC and officials from various departments .
