Training on kharif crops held under Mission Healthy Punjab and Atma scheme

Under Mission Healthy Punjab, Dr. under the guidance of Surinder Singh, Chief Agriculture Officer, Muktsar Sahib, all the Fertilizer, Seed and Pesticide Dealers of Block  Muktsar Sahib under Atma Scheme were imparted training on Kharif 2021 crops at Block Office. On this occasion Jashanpreet Singh Brar, Agriculture Development Officer informed about the promotion of Kharif crops and crop diversification. Sukhjinder Singh, Khatibari Development Officer (JDO) on various topics related to quality control such as fertilizers, seeds, POS. Shared information about machines etc. Jagtar Singh Agriculture Extension Officer informed about the cotton crop.  Karanjit Singh, Project Director, Atma provided information to all the dealers about the activities of the department and the diplomas being conducted by the department for issuing new licenses for fertilizers, seeds and medicines. He further said that if any person wants to get a diploma for selling fertilizers, seeds or pesticides, he must contact the office of the Department of Agriculture so that he does not face any problem in future. On this occasion, Assistant Plant Protection Officer Block  Muktsar Sahib Dr.  Kuldeep Singh Jodha urged all the dealers to provide the best quality cotton and paddy and basmati seeds to the farmers during the coming Kharif season. He said that the farmers should be provided fixed bills for the seeds and pesticides sold. Also, ensure that only the varieties and medicines recommended by the Agricultural University are sold. Jatinder Singh, Deputy Inspector of Agriculture, Harbhajan Singh,  Satinder Kumar,  Balwinder Singh and ATM (Atma)  Swaranjit Singh,  Gagandeep Singh etc. and  Bunty Goyal, District President of Dealers Association,  Bhisham Kumar,  Popish Bansal and all the dealers of the block were present.
