Punjab Industry and Commerce Minister Sunder Sham Arora on Saturday asserted that the Tandarust Punjab Health and Wellness centers would further give a fillip to the healthcare facilities besides strengthening medical infrastructure in Punjab.
Participating in a state-level virtual event to dedicate 107 Tandarust Punjab Health and Wellness centers across state by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, the Industries Minister accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyat said that a total of 120 health and wellness centers were active in the district. These 120 centers include 87 sub-health centers, 31 primary centers, and two city health centers at Purhiran and Aslamabad, he added.
He said that apart from deploying community health officers and adequate nursing staff, the requisite healthcare infrastructure had also been provided to these centers so that people could take the benefit of quality healthcare services nearby their homes.
Thanking Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh for this unique initiative, Sunder Sham Arora said that these centers played a significant role in providing healthcare services to the rural as well as urban population besides ensuring treatment and awareness against different diseases. He further mentioned that with path-breaking initiatives in the fields of health and education, Punjab would certainly emerging as a leading state at on country’s map of health and education sectors.
