Today’s lunar eclipse showing the supermoon and blood moon together is special. Today, the moon will be very close to the Earth and therefore will look in the largest size and will be quite bright. Before this, such a lunar eclipse took place on 21 January 2019. This lunar eclipse seen in many countries around the world will be accompanied by a supermoon and a blood moon. The first lunar eclipse of this year, which takes place on Wednesday, is a super blood moon and it will look reddish-orange in color.
Today’s full lunar eclipse is taking place after more than two years. The name ‘supermoon’, occurring three or four times a year, was first used by American astrologer Richard Nolle in 1979. This information has been given by NASA. It is noteworthy that the moon which appears in the sky on the full moon day is about 7 percent larger than other days. Today it will look bigger and 16 percent brighter because it will be very close to the Earth. At 01.53 pm today, the Moon will be closest to the Earth. At this time, the distance of the Moon from Earth will be just 357309 kilometers. This condition is called ‘perigee’.
